The holidays are a time for giving and community, and SkipTheDepot is proud to announce our annual Christmas Food Drive in partnership with the Calgary Food Bank, Edmonton’s Food Bank, and Lethbridge Food Bank. Food insecurity is on the rise, with Food Banks Canada reporting over 2 million food bank visits in March 2024—a record high that represents a 6% increase from 2023 and a staggering 90% increase since 2019. This holiday season, let’s join forces to support those in need. With SkipTheDepot, donating to your local food bank is as easy as a click from home. Together, we can spread warmth and joy to our communities.

Your Food Bank’s Holiday Wish List

Want to know what to donate? We’ve got you covered! Simply gather the items below, place them in a box labeled "FOOD BANK", and leave them out with your bags of bottles and cans for your scheduled pickup. It’s a simple way to spread holiday cheer and support your neighbours in need!

• Calgary Food Bank’s Wish List: Pasta, rice, cereal, oatmeal, flour, peanut butter, beans/lentils/chickpeas, pasta sauce, canned veggies/fruit/soup, baby items, hygiene items, party supplies, games/toys, and pet food.
• Edmonton’s Food Bank’s Wish List: Beans (without pork), canned meat/fish, baby formula, diapers, peanut butter, soup, healthy school snacks, canned fruit/veggies, pasta/sauce, and hot/cold cereal.

• Lethbridge Food Bank’s Wish List: Pasta and sauce, canned goods, peanut butter, Kraft Dinner, dry soup, gluten-free foods, condiments, and meal-in-a-can items.
